A police complaint has been lodged against film producer Dil Raju aka Venkataramana Reddy on Saturday in Madhapur police station. Following a complaint from one writer Shyamala rani and official orders, Madhapur police have booked the case. The case is booked under section IPC 120A, 415, 420 of the Copyright Act 63. Producer Dil Raju, director Dasaradh have been named in the case.
Going into details, Shyamalan's allegation is that Dil Raju's production Mr. perfect (2011) is copied from her novel 'Na Manasu Korindi Ninne'. She alleged that the film's theme and several scenes are 'copied' from the novel.
Madhapur DCP Viswa Prasad said they might check out the matter. They said that they might read the novel and watch the movie and so come back to the conclusion. Meanwhile, he said that they would also call Dil Raju for inquiry within the issue.
